Assistant Human Resources Manager

We are looking for a passionate and creative Assistant Human Resources Manager. 

You will be responsible for giving support to the Human Resources Manager in making sure all planning, company policies are being follow in terms of recruitment, training, development, safety and personnel administration with the aim of attracting and retaining the correct talent in each of the positions/departments of the hotel and that way there is a good work environment, wellbeing and productivity, and to contribute to success of Melia Hotels International.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, in 4*/5* hotels.
  • Pre-Opening Experience will be highly valued.
  • High level of English.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advance Diploma in Human Resources, or related field in social science studies.
  • Experience in dealing directly with recruitment agencies, will be highly valued.
  • Knowledge in Personnel Administration.
  • Experience in all HR areas (Training, development, employee welfare, communication, motivation…)
  • Proactivity, communication skills, good interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Experience in SAP will be valued

Security Manager

You will be responsible for promoting a magnificent work environment, and be involved in the development of associates within the housekeeping department.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a similar destination

Reservation Manager (based in Zanzibar)
Your main mission will be to achieve the budgeted and forecasted Rooms Revenue, through the conversion of Reservation calls to sales, whilst delivering customer satisfaction for both Melia Zanzibar & Melia Serengeti Lodge. Among your responsibilities you will find, maintaining database accuracy in order to get return correct inventory and rates to market, segment our business property, and track our business to facilitate strategic analysis.
As Reservation Manager, you will be responsible for assuring maximum possible occupancy percentage and average room rate are achieved at all times & to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Proven experience managing the Reservations & Group team on a daily basis.
• Good Knowledge of Opera.
• Proficient English. Other languages will be an advantage
• Sales culture supporting all activities, driving sales at the hotel and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
• Analytical thinking to ensure all opportunities for revenue are taken including upselling, waitlist management, non-guaranteed bookings management, charging of deposits and action no-shows and cancellations where appropriate.
