WARIDI — WATER RESOURCES INTEGRATION DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
Winrock International (http://www.winrock.org), a US-based international non-profit organization, is a sub-contractor on the USAID funded Water Resources Integration Development Initiative (WARIDI). Winrock International is recruiting for a THREE (3) ENGINEERS based in Morogoro, Iringa and Ifakara, Tanzania.
All applicants should be Tanzanian citizens and be fluent in Swahili and English. Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements.

WATER ENGINEER —1 POSITION in IFAKARA, 1 POSITION in IRINGA
POSITION SUMMARY: The Water Engineer will join a team to design, supervise, and monitor the construction of rural and peri-urban water schemes across multiple districts. One Position will be based in a project office in fringe and one in Ifakara with frequent travel to construction sites. Will directly supervise on-site quality control managers (engineering interns) who are based 24/7 at construction sites. Will work closely with local government authorities and Community Owned Water Supply Organizations to coordinate implementation of activities.
Education: Relevant graduate degree in engineering, hydrology or related field.
Experience: Most be a registered graduate or professional engineer with a minimum 4 years’ experience working in the water sector, especially rural water supply; Must have demonstrated experience designing water supply systems (pumped and gravity) including preparing drawings and BOQs; Must have experience managing contracts and supervising contractors on-site; Must have strong management and organizational skills.

CIVIL ENGINEER 1 POSITION in MOROGORO
POSITION SUMMARY: The Civil Engineer will join a team to design, supervise, and monitor the construction of school latrines per government of Tanzanian standards across multiple districts in the Morogoro and Iringa Regions and, as required, support water supply construction work; Position will be based in Morogoro with frequent travel to construction sites; Will directly supervise on-site quality control managers (engineering interns) who are based 24/7 at construction sites. Will work closely with local government authorities and schools to coordinate implementation of activities.
EDUCATION: Relevant graduate degree in environmental or civil engineering
EXPERIENCE: Must be a registered graduate or professional engineer with a minimum 4 years’ experience supervising construction, with a preference for experience in School WASH; Must have experience preparing BOQs and drawings per GoT standards; Must have experience in contract management and supervising contractors on-site; Must have strong management and organizational skills.
