Overall Purpose of the Job: Evaluate and adopt the most cost-effective method of producing and supplying clean fertile hatching eggs to meet market demand. / and Oversee production operations on company Breeder/Broiler Farms. 
Production Manager Key focus areas are as follows:
  1. Achievements of production targets
  1. Accurate performance reports.
  1. Accuracy of forecasts.
  1. Financial management - production of cost-effective egg/bird etc.
  1. Farm staff development
Experience and Background Needed

  • Bachelor's Degree in Animal Health and Production/ or bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Qualification in Production Management from Cobb school will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a in a similar position in an integrated poultry operations company/Setup.
  • Have knowledge and practised Kaizen in current employment

Zambia Cargo & Logistics Limited is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified people to fill the position as stated below:  

Coordinate the movement of cargo from origin to foreign destination including the logistics of moving the cargo itself; the creation of documents to facilitate the movement; Dealing with the customer service requirements of the shipper or their agent; Coordinate the smooth flow of works/activities of the various sections of the C&F, by managing information, documents, records and registers used in C&F unit; Being the interface between C&F and other departments of the company; Responsible for the safe custody of all documents, records, registers, and other correspondences in Clearing and Forwarding S; Customer service,
a. Coordinate the activities of all the sections in Container Freight Station (CFS), through information flow
b. Assist Operations Manager in receiving correspondence from clients and other stake holders;
c. Writing up of all interchanges, Invoice Advice, and other CFS
Documents, and ensure the same are circulated to relevant offices/Staff, timely, for onward action;
d. Scrutinizing all delivery documents for proof of delivery (POD), when ZCL trucks, including hired trucks, have been used in the delivery of cargo to the port or other destinations, for successful delivery;
e. Organizing required resources for execution of the Clearing and Forwarding tasks
f. Producing daily, weekly, and monthly Operations reports
g. Supervising clerks
h. Key coordinator of all the sections of the Clearing and Forwarding unit, through timely and accurate information flow;
i. Carrying out any other official duties assigned by the, Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
j. Coordinate all activities and assist Operation Manager in receiving correspondence from clients
k. Producing weekly monthly Operation reports
l. Maintaining and keeping up dating of record and Registers and documents in CFS

– Practical work experience of at least five (3) years in a reputable

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Position profile
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Country Director, the Monitoring and Evaluation officer ensures that s/he performs transparent and efficient logistics activities for our programmes.
Specific Duties and responsibilities
i/ In accordance to our procurement procedures, be responsible for the procurement process of all items or services purchased and agreed with the Logistics Manager
ii/ Receiving orders from the various departments, signing them and updating in the order follow up.
iii/ Responsible for signing all procurement memo for procurement;
iv/ Responsible to setting up the correct procurement procedure for each purchase;
v/ Contact requesters to ensure correct specifications of each items ordered, in order to avoid non-matching procurement;
vi/ Ensure procurement of goods and services is always done following the value for money principle;
vii/ Accountable for Compliance with respects to all capital procurements;
viii/ Establish the monthly purchase forecast, gathering all purchase that will be done, and send it to the Country logistics Manger.
ix/ Accountable for the reception of all items delivered or in transit to the office;
x/ Accountable for quantity and quality check of all goods received;
xi/ Ensure the information flow between the different Stakeholders in the supply chain;
xii/ Responsible for transmission to finance all procurement files for payment
xiii/ Responsible for filling the logistics and compliance procurement file; 
Required Profile
a. Bachelor degree in purchasing Supply Management, Business Administration,Finance,Management or equivalent.
b. At least 5 years relevant experience in program management and logistics management in NGOs.
c. Computer literate and with excellent IT Knowledge.
d. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective work relations at all levels,
e. Strong people management and leadership skills;
f. Excellent communication skills.
g. Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
h. Experience in providing inputs to proposals and donor reports in procurement and logistics.
i. Demonstrated experience in overall responsibility and accountability for the logistical management of an organization.
